Hi! My name's Jade (: I'm a tattoo artist working in the lovely town of Almonte. I've got 3 indoor cats, 1 large snake (Hog island Boa) and 4 barn cats. Before tattooing, I did special fx and traditional makeup, graduated top of my class as an Esthetician at Algonquin College, and worked in the film industry for 5 years, mainly as a first assistant director.
I've loved art since a very young age and always thought tattooing was a career I would pursue at some point in my life, but I always found reasons why it wasn't the right time. Until one day, I said fuck it, quit my job and dove head first into it, never looking back. Tattooing has given me a spark I've been searching for my entire life. It brings me immense joy, yet an overwhelming sense of peace and belonging I had never experienced before.
I've got an awesome mentor (Christian, thank you for everything), super rad clientele, and peers who support me on this crazy journey that is my life. My favourite style is gothic blackwork with influences from the odd and macabre.
Fun fact: Before going to college for esthetics, I debated going to Humber college for their mortician program. I wanted to use my skills in makeup to help reconstruct the deceased. Now, I use my art skills on the living 😉
Anywaaaaaays, I'm a big old weirdo and love meeting new people. I promise I'm much nicer than I look (:
